Into The Wild
Sonya Lorelle's latest album is a 10 song story, meant to be listened in order as it brings the listener on a common journey through the spaces of grief that loss can bring us to. The journey begins with Surrender, a war metaphor that recognizes how it feels when destruction is all around. It continues through other spaces including disillusionment, reflecting on Who Am I, coming to terms when It's Time, and knowing sometimes it may just be the Whiskey Crying.
The Wild
"The Wild" represents the unfamiliar terrain that must be negotiated in life after loss. It takes courage and willingness to lean in to this space and begin to find a new path towards hope.
